Counselling for Adults and Adolescents

Calm Mind Counselling

support together

I have been a BACP Accredited Counsellor since 2006. I have extensive experience of supporting adults, adolescents, parents and families in private practice and as part of NHS therapy services including CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services). Since training in Mindfulness and Compassion based in 2015 work I have integrated this in to my talking therapies work.

Bringing mindful awareness into counselling supports us to slow things down, to attend to what needs support and to bring compassion to what needs care.

Counselling sessions can be used to explore issues from the past, to address current internal patterns (such as self criticism), and/or to gain support and confidence in making changes for the future. Counselling sessions can also support with depression; anxiety (including social anxiety); bereavement; separations; parenting; family issues, relationship issues and stress.

As part of individual counselling sessions, if requested, I can teach mindfulness and compassion practices that can be practiced at home and at work to provide an ongoing support well beyond the time limits of the counselling sessions.

Most of my counselling work is now online. In-person sessions are available on request in Hastings.
