Ruth Sequeira, Mindfulness Teacher at Mindfulness Hastings
Ruth is fully trained and certified to teach Mindfulness Based Approaches (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programmes) by the Sussex Mindfulness Centre. She is trained to offer Mindfulness Supervision by the Mindfulness Network and is currently working as an Apprentice Trainer on the Sussex Mindfulness Centre Teacher Training programmes. Ruth is registered with the British Association for Mindfulness-Based Approaches and adheres to their Good Practice Guidelines for teaching mindfulness courses. All her work is appropriately supervised and insured.
Ruth has been a BACP Accredited Psychological Therapist for the past 14 years, having undertaken her post-graduate training at the Gestalt Centre in London. She also holds a Professional Diploma in Shiatsu, and has a longstanding personal Meditation, Yoga and Qi Gong practice.
Ruth has worked in the voluntary sector and the NHS for over 20 years, and has experience with a variety of client groups, including young people and adults with addictions and mental health difficulties. Her current role involves offering consultation and training regarding child and adolescent mental health treatments, as well as mindfulness group work.
Ruth is committed to working towards making mindfulness practices available for all who want to learn them. As part of this commitment I try to offer courses for people who are keen to attend but are unable to pay the full price. Please contact me for further information.
